TEHRAN - The book "The Qoran and Its World" has been published in Russia by St. Petersburg Orientology Publishers.

It was written by the renowned Russain orientalist and Islamologist Dr. Rezvan.

The book discusses the role and position of the Qoran in Islamic society, the history of Qoranic studies in the Islamic majority areas of Eastern Europe, and analyzes the history of the Qoran.

It also examines the Qoran and the society of Saudi Arabia and Islamic societies of Europe and Russia.

"The Qoran and Its World" contains over 100 color and black and white photographs as well as a CD containing different styles of Qoran recitation and examples of Qoranic calligraphy.

Dr. Rezvan has written several books on Islam in Russia, Europe and the Middle East.

He won first prize at the International Qoran Exhibition in 2000.
